Job Description:
We are a small but fast-paced artisanal manufacturing studio located in NE Portland. We’re looking for a studio production assistant to join our team. This job will involve a mixture of teamwork & solo production. Hours may fluctuate depending on seasonal needs.
Primary Job Duties:
- Mold cleaning & prep
- Casting & finishing work on our line of playful cement sculptures
- Wood work, such as sanding & staining
- General studio maintenance
What we’re looking for: Dependable, reliable, self-motivated team player. Must have a strong eye for detail and ability/desire to create consistent results in production. Must be comfortable with multi-tasking and an ability to go with the flow and take direction/constructive criticism in stride. This is a very physical position that requires lifting up to 60 pounds and repetitive hand-work. Work includes a mixture of standing and sitting. Production or sculpture experience working with your hands is strongly preferred. We’re willing to train the right person, so if you have experience working with your hands in a similar field and feel that you’d be a good fit, we want to hear from you. Despite the detail-oriented nature of the position, we play music, chat and generally try to keep a light, fun atmosphere.
