The amount of sand depends on the tray. Check the product details, and fill no higher than the tray's inner lip.
Scrub forms gently under running water with a sponge or nylon brush; no cleaners are needed. Let them dry fully, and don't leave them under water for long.
The forms are concrete, cast from Andrew's hand-carved originals and finished by hand. Knocking them together or scraping them can chip the surface, so roll gently.
Pour in the sand, swirl and jiggle the tray to smooth it, and set out a few forms. A wool slider or wood glider under the tray protects the table.
